Frequently asked questions

What hardware do we need at each gate?

A Raspberry Pi (4GB class), a UHF EPC Gen2 reader with antenna, an opto-isolated relay for the gate OPEN input, and a presence sensor (loop or photocell). Target BOM is roughly under USD 500 per gate.

Does the gate work without internet?

Yes. All open/deny decisions run on the Pi from a signed local snapshot. When the link returns, events drain from a durable outbox over MQTT or HTTPS.

What is “soft deny”?

On exit, a deny rule still opens the barrier and raises an alert for the watchman. We never claim hard physical exit deny. Entry can hard-deny (stay closed) for unknown or revoked tags.

Which languages are supported?

English and Spanish from day one across marketing, consoles, and announcements.

How do payments work?

Community dues go through LatAm payment adapters (Mercado Pago, Wompi, dLocal). The platform does not hold resident funds. SaaS non-payment never disables gates.

Who manages the community day to day?

A community admin manages units, homeowners, vehicles, tags, exit rules, billing, and announcements. Watchmen run the live gate console. Super admins provision devices and communities across the platform.

How is pricing structured?

Community-paid, per-unit monthly. Contact us via the demo form for a Colombia pilot quote.
